05 Sep Finbarr’s Boys on RTÉ Jr Podcast
Last year, some of the boys in Finbarr’s took part in a huge project looking at the environment in Cabra with RTÉ. Five other schools in the area took part. We carried out a range of activities and projects, attended ClimateCon, met some environment ministers at Dáil Éireann, created and planned for a range of biodiversity projects, like the school pond based over at the church, and took part in several recording days with RTÉ.
The activities over six months have been documented in a podcast called “Our Sustainable Village”. Episodes air live on RTÉjr Radio at 7pm and then become podcasts. Click the link below or wherever you get your podcasts; eg Spotify, iTunes to listen.
Given the series’ span and scope, there are 22 episodes, each about 15 minutes long. Episodes will be dropped in batches over the coming weeks, but if you want to skip to Finbarr’s, we’re episodes 8 and 12!
Make sure to listen out for some of our boys, particularly Alex and Zac from last year’s 6th class who were the project leaders.
Well done to everyone involved on such a great project!
